Auntie NeededDeceased Bay Thoroughbred Mare, 16.1hh
Although she had had alot of training before I got her, she had never been entered in a show. I started showing her as soon as she had settled in and she became champion in her first show! She simply loves to have all eyes on her, and her beautiful confirmation will appeal to every judge. She has a nice head and strong quarters. She is simply beautiful! Her nice color and muscle makes her a real eyecather, and her gaits are amazing. Her walk is straight, even and reaching, and her trot is powerful and smooth. You can hardly feel her canter, as it is like riding a rocking horse. You can feel every muscle work and if you're only watching, it is impossible to look away. She absolutely loves to jump, and she is calm but still energetic on the course. To jump this great mare is an experiance in itself. You can sense when she is about to take of, and you can feel that she is concentrating her energy into her hindquarters. She is coragous and would never refuse to jump, even if she knows it is to big. The only thing that could hold Auntie back a bit, must be speed. Not that she doesn't have it! If we take her out on the trails she will run past anything, but she is very careful and quiet out in the arena. But even so, she was still taking home the blue ribbons and championships. Auntie was in foal to Ethereal Dancer when I got her. I chose it, but I had a few second thoughts because I was afraid it would alot take of time to get her back into showing shape. But she amazed me. She wanted to work as soon as Albert was old enough to come with her. I didn’t want to cover her again until she had more showing experience, but I was really looking forward to it. Albert is so cute. He has his mothers temper and confirmation and he has allready proven himself in the showring and on the track. He had an amazing racing career, and now he has been retrained for show jumping – walking in his mothers footsteps.
